This Policy applies to the short-drama mini program services provided by One Smart Technology Company Limited (“OneSmart”, “we”, “us” or “our”). It intentionally does not use a specific app name. Features and permission requests may vary between individual mini programs.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose and protect personal information when you access a short-drama mini program, contact support or otherwise interact with our services. Please read it carefully. If you do not agree, please stop using the relevant service.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information you provide
Depending on the features you use, you may provide a display name, profile image, contact details, customer-support messages, feedback, order details or payment status. Payments are processed by the mini program platform or an authorised payment provider; we generally do not receive complete payment-card details.
1.2 Information collected automatically
We may collect device model, operating-system and mini program versions, network type, IP address, device or platform identifiers, access times, logs, interactions, viewing history, playback progress, crash reports and performance information. We limit collection to information reasonably necessary for the purposes described below.
1.3 Information from the hosting platform
With your permission, we may receive your platform account identifier and authorised public profile information, such as a display name or avatar. Refusing an optional permission will not affect basic browsing, but a feature that depends on that permission may not work.
1.4 Device permissions
Where a feature requires it, the mini program may request access to storage, photos, camera, microphone or notifications. The purpose will be explained when access is requested. You can manage or withdraw permissions through platform or device settings.
2. How We Use Information
- Provide content browsing, playback, progress, account and order functions;
- Respond to support, technical, refund and dispute enquiries;
- Protect accounts, transactions and systems and detect fraud, abuse or violations;
- Measure performance, correct errors and improve product and content relevance;
- Send service notices or marketing communications where permitted and, where required, with consent;
- Meet legal, regulatory and contractual obligations.
If we wish to use information for a materially different purpose, we will provide appropriate notice and obtain consent where required.
3. How We Disclose Information
We do not sell personal information. We may share necessary information with the mini program platform and providers of cloud hosting, content delivery, analytics, customer support, payments and security. These providers are contractually required to process information only for authorised purposes and to protect it. Information may transfer as part of a merger, acquisition, reorganisation or asset transfer, subject to continued protection. We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect legal rights or to address an urgent safety or security risk.
4. Local Storage, SDKs and Similar Technologies
The service may use local storage, software development kits and similar technologies to maintain sign-in status, remember playback progress and preferences, prevent fraud and measure performance. Third-party SDKs are used only where reasonably necessary for a defined function and are subject to applicable platform and privacy requirements.
5. Retention and International Transfers
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the stated purpose, unless a longer period is required by law. As we operate from Hong Kong, information may be processed outside your place of residence. Where required, we use contractual, organisational and technical safeguards for international transfers.
6. Your Privacy Rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, a copy or deletion of your personal information; withdraw consent; close an account; restrict or object to certain processing; or question automated processing. You can also manage platform permissions and notifications in your settings. We may need to verify your identity and will respond within the period required by law.
7. Children and Age Limits
Our services are not directed to children under 16 who cannot provide valid consent independently. Where parental consent is required, minors should use the service only with a parent or guardian. If we learn that a child's information was collected without valid permission, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
8. Security
We use safeguards appropriate to the nature and risk of the information, including encrypted transmission, access controls, least-privilege practices, logging and incident response. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. If an incident is likely to materially affect your rights, we will provide notice and take remedial steps as required by law.
9. Third-Party Services
The mini program may contain third-party content, payments or links. Independent third parties process information under their own policies. We assess service providers with care but do not control independent processing outside our responsibility.
10. California and Other Regional Notices
Residents of jurisdictions with additional privacy rights may contact us to exercise those rights. Where applicable, this may include rights to know, correct, delete, opt out of certain sharing or targeted advertising, limit the use of sensitive information, and appeal a decision. We do not discriminate against users for exercising lawful privacy rights.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in law, technology or our services. We will provide a mini program notice, announcement or other reasonable notice for material changes and request renewed consent where required.
